The term "H.R." is perhaps the epitome of our time - that is, it is a prime example of our modern talent to dehumanise one another.
When you go out to
work you are no longer a person but an object in the chain of
production. Like fuel or raw materials you are expendable,
replaceable, consumable - in short, you are a resource... you are a
Human Resource.
