We are told that human beings are something like 99% genetically identical to all
other animals.
From this everyone jumps to the
conclusion that we are basically just animals.
But there is another
way to interpret "the science".
If the genetic difference between a
human being and all other animals is so infinitesimally small, and yet to plain observation the differences are in fact enormous, then the common sense answer has to be; what makes us human is
obviously not our genetics.

Very good! Also, when the human genome project reported, its major finding - hardly commented on - was how *few* genes there were - about 24K (most of which are simply coding for the structural aspects) - apparently far too few to make such complexity...
