As a modern person, you expect the government to take responsibility for your economic situation, no matter how irresponsible you have been either as an employer or as a consumer - just as, and in the same way - that you expect the government to take responsibility for your health and well-being, regardless of what crap you eat or how carelessly you treat your environment. Thus you exploit cheap labour from abroad and borrow infinitely against the tax-payer of the future (your own children) - and when the crap hits the fan, rather than reflect on your behavior, you instead blame it all on Putin, or Brexitiers or the latest poor sod in government for failing to right the collective sin that is the cesspit of globalist debt-driven economics.
